This helmet combines performance and protection in a lightweight, race-proven package. Designed with direct feedback from our elite downhill and freeride athletes, the features read like a golden standard checklist and have proven themselves among the most successful UCI World Cup champions. At the top of this list is MIPS™, which slows down rotational movement in the event of an accident and disperses the forces acting on your head. For added protection, this system is combined with breakaway visor screws that are designed to break away in a fall, thereby mitigating rotational forces. And of course, there's no question of sacrificing even the slightest bit of comfort or performance for these safety features. The liner, made of injection-molded Varizorb™ dual-density EPS, adds lightweight performance to the design and enhances protection by dispersing the forces released in a fall to a larger surface area. Outstanding air circulation is ensured by vents with injected mesh guards that provide cool comfort and protect against flying dust and mud, while the X-Static® head liner and cheek protectors counteract the proliferation of bacteria (and thus odors) and can be machine washed.
